Sales Director

Amsterdam

About us

Crunchr is the People Analytics platform for forward-thinking HR teams. Our team has been built with the same attention and care as our product, and we value curious, collaborative, no-ego and impact-driven team players. We win enterprise logos like Booking.com, AkzoNobel and Shutterfly by being faster to value than the incumbents we compete against, and trusted. For more information about us, you can visit the Crunchr career page.

Some context about the role

This role carries the title Sales Director to reflect the seniority, deal complexity, and executive-level relationships it requires, it does not manage a team. You'll own a defined list of named target accounts, enterprise organizations of 1,000 to 50,000 employees, and you'll be responsible for building and closing your own pipeline within that list, working across buying committees that span HR, People Analytics, IT, and often Finance or Legal, reporting directly to our Chief Revenue Officer, Douglas Freeman.

Pipeline creation is the core of this job, but you won't be doing it alone. You'll run your own outbound motion (calls, sequences, LinkedIn, and event-based prospecting) into your named accounts, backed by a BDR who partners with you on prospecting and qualification, and a Go to Market team that fuels your territory with account-based programs, intent signals, and inbound demand. You own the outcome, but BDR capacity and a steady flow of marketing-sourced and inbound opportunities sit alongside what you generate yourself.

Our team runs on three principles. We're disciplined: structured, consistent prospecting and qualification even when the pipeline looks full, because forecast accuracy and process rigor are non-negotiable. We're distinctive: be yourself,  you sell a point of view, not a product pitch, and challenge HR leaders' thinking rather than reciting a feature list, since insight is what gets you past the gatekeeper and into the room. And we bring desire: you’re goal focused, you generate your own opportunities rather than waiting for them, and you treat quota as a floor, not a ceiling.

Crunchr is also an AI-first sales organization, so this role calls for genuine day-to-day fluency with AI tools across prospecting, deal execution, and pipeline hygiene. In interviews, be ready to walk through specific AI tools and workflows you've actually used to prospect, run deals, or manage your pipeline.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Own a named list of target enterprise accounts and build qualified pipeline within it through your own outbound prospecting, working hand-in-hand with a dedicated BDR who supports your territory.
  • Run a disciplined outbound cadence (calls, email sequences, LinkedIn, and event or conference prospectinglayered on top of a steady stream of Marketing-sourced and inbound opportunities.
  • Run structured, multi-threaded enterprise sales cycles.
  • Navigate complex, multi-country HR data environments — fragmented HRIS/WFM systems, works councils, data residency requirements — as a core part of the sales conversation.
  • Speak with authority to HR and business leaders (CHRO, VP People Analytics, VP Total Rewards, CPO) about their people-strategy priorities, from workforce planning and skills gaps to DEI, CSRD reporting, and cost of workforce.
  • Use AI tools as a core part of your daily workflow — for account research, prospecting and personalization, call preparation and follow-up, and deal and forecast hygiene.
  • Partner closely with Solutions Consulting, Sales Enablement, and Customer Success to design account strategy and ensure a smooth handover at close.
  • Consistently deliver against an ambitious annual new-business quota in net-new ACV.

What we expect from you

MUSTS

  • 5+ years of new-business, hunter-profile closing experience in enterprise SaaS, with a track record of self-sourcing pipeline against named or greenfield territories.
  • Demonstrated success running your own outbound motion, with specific campaigns or sequences you've built and run yourself.
  • Comfort running complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles — you can point to deals where you multi-threaded a buying committee across HR, IT, and Finance.
  • Familiarity with the operational realities of large, multi-country organizations: fragmented systems, works councils, and data privacy and compliance requirements.
  • A track record of quota over-attainment.
  • Provable, hands-on fluency with AI tools in your day-to-day sales process — real workflows you've built for prospecting, research, personalization, or deal execution.
  • Fluent English required.
  • Based in or able to work from the Amsterdam area on a hybrid basis.
NICE TO HAVE
  • A genuine command of HR and people-strategy topics: you can speak to a CHRO about workforce planning, skills strategy, or people-cost pressures with real authority, not a memorized pitch.
  • Dutch or another major European language is a strong plus given our Benelux-heavy customer base.

What you can expect from us

  • A role in which you can have great impact, you'll be part of a scale-up that is building something big!
  • A well-connected office in Amsterdam with a beautiful skyline and freshly prepared lunch every day.
  • Competitive salary and secondary conditions like a stock option plan and a fully paid pension plan.
